Identity Verification KuCoin

To be able to do everything and not have any restrictions on KuCoin, we have to complete the verification process. In the following we will go into how to verify our identity step by step.

Here we are in our ‘Asset Overview’. But it doesnt matter where you are on KuCoin, you just need to be logged in.

Then hover over the circle with your initials in the top right corner, and click on ‘KYC Verification’.

After that, you are directed to this site, where you need to click on ‘Start Verification’.

Then, you can enter your personal information.

Based on where in the world you are located, different laws may apply to Crypto Trading.

If you are from the US for example, you wont be able to use binance.com as your trading platform.

Generally, it is good to have different exchanges on which you can trade.

After you have entered your information you click on ‘Submit’.

Now there are two different ways to verify yourself.

Either with the app, which is probably faster and more user friendly. Or if you are unable to use the app, you can apply for a manual review with the web-version, which can take 2-10 days.

If you want to use the app, you need to download it first. You can either download the app using the QR-code displayed on the left or go to an app store on your device and download the Kucoin app there.

After that, you can open the app and tap on the ‘Scan Icon’ on the upper right corner of the homepage. Then you only need to scan the QR-code displayed on the right hand side and a step by step instruction will guide you through the verification process.

If you are unable to use the app, or just want to use the web-version, you need to click on ‘manual review’ below the QR-code on the right. (red arrow)

Then you get directed to this site. Here you need to review your personal information and then upload two pictures of your ID (back- and front-side) and a selfie in which you hold your ID and a handwritten note.

First, you upload your ID, and then you need to follow the exact instructions on how the selfie should look like.

After you have uploaded your selfie, you can click on ‘Submit’.

Now you are done and KuCoin is verifying your information. This may take a few days, but you will receive an email notification from KuCoin once you have been verified.
